Slow Stitching Sunday

Slow Sunday Stitching

I will be joining Kathy and others today for some slow stitching.  My plan for 2014 was to slow things down - of course my fall and hip fracture just added to it.  But that is OK as I have plenty to keep me busy and make me behave.

I did some stitching on the 'Apples For Sale' thru the week.  But today I want to concentrate on getting the truck finished.

**edit**
It is a Stitch World pattern (1995)
Leaflet #03-127 L
'Apples for Sale' design by Linda Bird

And though it isn't stitching, I have been slowly cutting each of the FQs for my 'Let's Book It' project.  I have a very wobbly 'flamingo' stance right now , so just taking it slowly.  I just have the white to cut, which isn't really a big chore, I just tire quickly on one leg.

I had started sewing my 'Twosies' for Terry's Good Night Irene QAL as leader/enders.  So I pulled them and hand stitched some 'Foursies'.  I think I will start pairing/pinning those rows together and see if I need more and try to catch that part of the project up.

Wont you pull up a chair, and slow down?

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

I love to see others who have lots of different projects going. Love that cross-stitch. Have fun finishing your truck. Hope you are getting more steady and mobile. I know it takes time. Enjoy your slow stitching. genie

I love the colors in your "Apples for Sale" project! The 'old timey'-ness of it speaks to me! Enjoy a take-it-easy kind of day, Sharon! :)

Looks like you have a nice variety of projects to keep you busy while you mend. The cross stitch colors are just lovely. What a nice project to stitch away on a Sunday.

Gosh, I don't think working on three projects as being slow. Hope you can keep doing the ones that have you sitting so you recover quickly.

Nice work, Sharon! I love the truck with the apples - very cool! I feel like I've been slowing down - I haven't used Jolene in over two weeks and I've been sitting at the sewing machine or straightening up the studio. I'd better get something on Jolene this week or she's going to disown me!

We all need to sit down and relax a little bit more. Good on you for keeping on sewing

I love your cross stitch project. I did an apple one a couple of years ago. All those reds were a challenge. Your piecing work is going great. I hope you heal quickly!

Even when you slow down, you manage to get a lot done. It's going to be hard to purge the image of you as a flamingo.

Your stitchery project is going to be beautiful . You are such a worker even when you are not stable on your feet you are accomplishing more than I can on two feet . I am taking part in the sew along with Terry too , fun project . Take care .

Your stitching is beautiful, you don't sound like your slowing down too much but I know what it is like. Just be careful playing a flamingo.

Wow Sharon! I must have totally missed your accident and time in the hospital while I was traveling - I am SO SORRY!!! It is good to know, though, that you are mending and getting back on your feet - so to speak, LOL! That Apples for Sale pattern is really lovely - can't wait to see your version in those pretty fabrics :*)
